Privacy Policy

Marvel Test Center is a mock test platform operated by GreenRock Technologies Private Limited ("we", "us"), designed exclusively for educational preparation. It helps students prepare for competitive exams including UPSC, BPSC, SSC, Railways, and other state-level or central government exams.

All tests, questions, and materials in the Marvel Test Center app are meant for self-assessment and learning. They are not actual examination papers. Marvel Test Center is not a government entity and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by UPSC, BPSC, SSC, any Railway Recruitment Board, or any other public service commission. Our content is created by our own team of educators and subject-matter experts.

This policy explains what information we collect when you use the app, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Account data: your name, email address, phone number, and a password (stored only in hashed form) when you register.
• Test performance: scores, time taken, answers submitted, paused and completed attempts, and progress statistics.
• Purchase records: which tests or plans you bought, the amount, date, and payment status. Card, UPI, and bank details are entered on Razorpay's secure checkout and are never received or stored by us.
• Device and usage data: app version, device model, operating system, language, approximate location at country or city level (derived from IP address), and how you use the app, such as screens viewed, tests started, and session length. This is linked to a random app-instance identifier, not to your name.
• Notification token: a device token issued by Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send you push notifications.

We do not collect sensitive personal information such as Aadhaar or PAN numbers, and we do not access your contacts, photos, or messages.

2. How we use your data

• To create and manage your account and let you sign in.
• To run tests, save your progress, and show your results, solutions, and performance reports.
• To process purchases and give you access to paid tests.
• To understand how the app is used so we can fix problems, improve questions, and improve the interface.
• To send you notifications about new tests, results, and app updates. You can turn these off at any time.
• To prevent fraud, misuse, and unauthorized access to accounts.

3. Third-party services

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the app. They process data on our behalf and only for the purposes below:

• Google Firebase Analytics: collects usage and device data to help us understand how the app is used. How Google uses data · Firebase privacy
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): delivers push notifications to your device.
• Razorpay: processes payments for paid tests. Your payment details are handled under Razorpay's privacy policy.
• Google Play: distributes the app and handles app updates, under Google's privacy policy.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only:

• with the service providers listed above, to run the app; or
• when required by law, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.

5. Data security & retention

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. All data is transferred over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and access is restricted to authorized personnel.

We keep your account data and test history as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, unless we must keep certain records (such as payment records) to meet legal or tax obligations. Analytics data is kept by Google for a limited period under our Firebase retention settings.

6. Your choices & rights

• Access and update: you can view and edit your profile information in the app.
• Copy of your data: you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Delete your account: request deletion at api.greenrock.co.in/delete-account, or email us at info@greenrock.co.in from your registered email address. Your account is closed immediately and your personal data is deleted within 30 days.
• Notifications: you can turn off push notifications in your device settings at any time.
• Promotional messages: you can unsubscribe from promotional communications at any time.

7. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for users aged 13 and above. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

8. Third-party links

The app may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to read their privacy policies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email, and the "Last updated" date above will change.
